The National Tuberculosis Elimination programme (RNTCP) Phek conducted t-shirt campaign on tuberculosis on September 14. During the campaign, Dr Ruokuohelie, District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) Phek sensitized the petrol pump workers, traffic police personal and taxi drivers on the treatment facilities which are provided free of cost to all TB patients and He also informed that an amount of Rs. 500 is being given every month to all TB patients until the treatment is over. Inner Wheel Club, Dimapur conducted an essay competition on account of Hindi Diwas at Pranab Vidyapith HSS, Dimapur on September 14. Students of class 7, 8 and 9 participated. First multi gym in Zunheboto was inaugurated at the Youth Hall on September 14. The facility was donated by Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) in collaboration with District Sports Council. Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) hosted two sessions of ‘drive in worship’ on September 12 at the Chekiye village play ground. About 200 cars gathered with parents and youth groups from 12 different churches. The event was managed by MUSIK-A. Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary and N Suhuto Chishi, Youth Secretary were the speakers of the worship. On September 13, the organizers have scheduled three sessions for youth where 15 churches will gather for Sunday worship. “We sanitize the stage and mic after every performance and provided headphones if you want to put the AC and close the window,” informed Alobo Naga, MUSIK-A.
