A free five-day eye camp and cataract surgery was held at Community Health Centre (CHC) Medziphema from May 6 to 10, providing free eye care services to the local community. During the camp, a total of 176 patients were registered and treated in the OPD, and 53 successful cataract surgeries were performed by the team led by Senior Specialists Dr Asonla Aying Chang, District Hospital Dimapur (District Nodal Officer NPCB-VI Dimapur) along with Dr Hedungkiebe. The 5-day camp was organised by National Programme for Control of Blindness and Vision Impairments (NPCB & VI), Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with CHC Medziphema. Dr Temjensunep, Senior Medical Officer, CHC Medziphema expressed gratitude to everyone involved who made the camp successful.

The Naga Hospital Colony Youth Organisation held a felicitation programme at Panchayat Hall on May 10. Pastor Razoulhoulie Talie from Christian Revival Church, NHK invokes God’s blessings. Rotiba G Sangtam, Assistant Research Officer from Department of Women Resource Development encouraged the students. Kelhousatuo Yiese, President NHCYO in the welcome address informed that a total of 25 students cleared their HSLC and HSSLC. Special number was presented by Khrievizo Chale and presentation was given by Atuonuo Suohu. Vote of thanks was delivered by Kevileto Semou. Carolynn Walling, General Secretary NHCYO chaired the programme. The students were honoured with certificates and cash.
