A 'Love Park' was donated by Christian Revival Church (CRC) Kidima in memory of Kehokri Ltu (retired Colonel of Naga Army and Ex Pastor of CRC, Kidima) and was formally blessed by Pastor Videse Pucho at Tewozu, Kidima on March 23. Visaneil Ltu, on behalf of the late Kehokri family expressed gratitude to CRC for the good work. The Kidima village council, along with public leaders, attended the blessing ceremony.
The Department of Education at Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College organised a 'We Care Program-2' on March 20 as a part ongoing departmental activity by visiting 'Ebenezer Orphanage Home.’ During the same, the students interacted with 19 children from different parts of Nagaland who reside at the ‘Home’ established by Akum Amri, and his family in 2005. The children are provided free education, various training programmes, and activities up to the X standard, a LFI release informed. The visit was aimed at understanding the circumstances of the children firsthand by the students and cultivating empathy and compassion towards those who are less fortunate, it said. Topic on integrated farming system for enhancing livelihoods and citrus rejuvenation were imparted through visual mode presentation during the first part of technical session. Animal health care, timely vaccination and routine deworming in livestock and integrated pest management on Kharif crops were discussed. Besides, advisories on kharif crops and livestock were also provided. Dr Paihem Michui, ACTO (Animal Science), and Eliseni Tsopoe, SMS (Plant Protection), were the resource persons. A total number of 97 teachers participated in the training. IGNITE '24 was held at Yimkümmer House, Tuli, under the theme 'Jesus first' from March 19-20. T. Altogether, 105 campers, along with the Associate Pastors (Youth) from 5 local churches of Tuli Town, attended the programme.Police Baptist Church Mon Youth Department, Sports Ministry organised a penalty shootout event on March 23 to promote sportsmanship, teamwork among young athletes, under the theme "Athletes for Christ" (I Corinthians 9:25). A total of forty teams from clubs, colleges, churches, and schools that took part in the competition. SDPO Mon Bendangwati who addressed the event said it is essential to appreciate and give thanks to God for the opportunity to engage in these activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Cafe 90 minutes emerged as the winner of the tournament. Zunheboto District Cricket Association (ZDCA) under the directive of Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) organised a Under-16 Inter School District Cricket Tournament on March 18&19 where four schools participated. ZDCA President Toika K Awomi thanked the participating schools and the NCA for their support and initiative in hosting the tournament. With the theme ‘Rise Together,’ the Kevijau Youth Organisation held its 1st Annual Sports meet on March 23 at Forest Ground (SEFTI) Dimapur, Nagaland. The three-day annual Naga sports meet 2023-2024 organised by the Naga Students’ Union Dehradun (NSUD) and Dehradun Eastern Naga Students’ Union (DENSU) was held from March 18-20 on the theme “Sporting Triumphs.” Deputy General Manager, ONGC Dehradun, Dr Nokmatongba Jamir was the chief guest at the inaugural session. The oath taking was initiated by Atuk Manpa, Games & Sports Secretary, DENSU which was followed by a Naga wrestling exhibition match after which the annual sporting even kicked off. Students were divided into four houses-Dhansiri, Doyang, Dikhu and Tizu and games that were played include football, basketball, volleyball, and tug-of-war. Team Dhansiri emerged as the overall champion of the annual sports meet.The Next Plan Club Jalukie 'B' peren (N) organised an open penalty shootout at Jalukie 'B' local ground on March 23, in collaboration with Spectrum club as co- sponsor and Kendeu coaching center as co- financer. Altogether, 25 teams participated in the tournament. Khiuzinbo FC (Jalukie town) claimed the championship title after narrowly beatingUnited Brothers FC (Chümoukedima)5-4.
