A book titled ‘the wonders of God’ written by Dr Thunglabemo Y Ezung, Missionary at Large was launched at Longsa village, Wokha district on June 15. The book was dedicated and launched by Rev L K Tsanglao, Pastor Longsa Baptist Church in the presence of family members, church members and village leaders of Longsa Village. Dr Ekonthung T Tungoe, Vice Principal, Ecclesia Theological College and Seminary, Dimapur in his address expressed hope that the book will touch many souls and inspire in serving God. Special prayer was said by Phyantsulumo Kikon, Sr Associate Pastor, LBCA while a short speech was shared by Zubemo Ezung and family members of the author.
BSI Medziphema Branch conducted promotional seminar at Ao Baptist Church, Medziphema on June 16. Altogether 51 pastors, women and youth pastors from 21 churches participated in the seminar. Pastor Vicha Angami, Secretary of the Branch moderated the session. Rev Zhabu Theruja, President Medziphema Pastors’ Fellowship said the invocation, Benjamin, President welcomed the participants and Pastors Edechoi Rose presented a song. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Mandal, 21 Tuli Mandal observed World Blood Donor's Day on June 14, in commemoration of 9 years of Modi Government by organizing a Blood Donation Camp. The camp was held at Community Health Center in Tuli. The camp was sponsored by A Pangjung Jamir, MLA and Advisor, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Government of Nagaland. During the camp, 22 units of blood were collected from the donors.
The Mon Battalion of 27 Assam Rifles on June 14 inaugurated a Computer Skill Development Center in Mon, aiming to empower the local community through digital literacy. A total of 16 computers were provided along with furniture and smart TVs to these skill development centers.

Department of Health and Family Welfare, Mokokchung conducted a one-day workshop on Routine Immunization (RI) strengthening, vaccine preventable Disease (VDP) surveillance and Measles and Rubella (MR) elimination on June 12 at Conference hall, Chief Medical Officer’s Office Mokokchung with Dr. Shiela Longkumer and Dr. Takosunep DPO (UIP & RCH) as resource person. The workshop was attended by CMO, Dy CMO, DPO (NCD), Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, Epidemiologist, BPMs, BACs and IDSP staff.
As part of the ongoing domestic workers’ week activities, the Ferrando Domestic Workers Alliance Kohima City (FDWA) has carried out cleanliness drive in Kohima on June 15. This cleanliness drive aim to create awareness among the public regarding cleanliness and its benefit. The FDWA staffs along with domestic workers undertook cleaning drainage and picking wrapping on the roads.
Government Middle School, New Ministers’ Hill, Kohima conducted a story telling activity under ‘Jan Bhagidari Events/Peoples Participation’ on June 13 on the theme ‘Ensuring Foundation Literacy and Numeracy’ to improve students’ listening and speaking skills and also provide a platform them to express their thoughts and communication in storytelling. The programme was also organized in the context of blended learning and also under the theme of G20 ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’
As a part of Jan Bhagidari events, Government Higher Secondary School, Pungro organized an essay writing competition on the topic “Importance & relevance of G20 in contemporary politics with special reference to India’s presidency’ on June 14 at the school premises. Altogether, 43 students from Class 12 took part in the event. Khevieyule Vanyalien K was adjudged as the winner of the competition while Phangremew and Manisha Kumari were the first and second runners up respectively. G. Omega Sema PGT, Zachelo Wetsah, PGT and Tansola PGT, were the judges during the competition.
Immanuel College, Dimapur NSS members participated in National Integration Camp, 2023 organised by Regional Directorate of NSS, (NER) Guwahati and Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports was held at The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat from June 9 to 15. A total of 10 states including Nagaland participated in the exchange programme. The Immanuel College representing Nagaland participated in seminar, cultural events and activities. The valedictory function was graced by Nandita Gorlosa Assam Cabinet Minister for Power, Sports and Youth Welfare, Co-operation and ITFC (Archaeology) Department, Assam.
Modern Higher Secondary School organised the final round of debate competition on June 16 on the topic “Is G-20 Focusing on its motto One Earth, One Family, One Future?” with Kaimangchoba as the moderator. A special song was presented by Kezhazeno Thepa. The competition concluded with the presentation of cash awards and citation by A Nenia Theresa, Principal. The opposition team emerged as the winner, with Levi Langkithonger bagging the Best Debate title of the debate competition.

The state officials of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) paid a courtesy call on Governor of Nagaland who is the Chief Patron of NSBSG La. Ganesan at Raj Bhavanon June 16. The NSBSG officials highlighted about the movement and briefed on the overall activities in the state. The meeting also discussed about the Governor’s induction ceremony.
A placement drive was conducted by the Department of Technical Education on June 13 at Government Polytechnic Kohima. A total of 117 students participated for placement in Tata Motors, Impacts, Pele Khezhie Enterprise, Seyie Motors and JIO Company/Firms.
