Dimapur district under District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) observed Suicide Prevention Week 2025 to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10 by organizing Suicide awareness programmes in collaboration with Lapiye Centre, for Mental Wellbeing at Government Middle School Dubagaon on September 8 and at Servanthood Bible College, 7th Mile on September 11 under the theme ‘Changing the narrative on Suicide.’

Home Guards, Civil defence & state disaster response force phek, conducted an earthquake mock drill exercise, training on emergency medical First Aid and uses of fire extinguishers at KIDDIS CORNER SCHOOL PHEK.
Department of Zoology PCC (A), under the aegis of the DBT Star College Project, organized a workshop titled “First Aid and Emergency Response.” The event featured Dr. T. Lima Imsong, Senior Medical Officer of the 13 NAP(IR) Battalion, Yajang, as the distinguished resource person.
In response to the National AIDS Control Organization’s (NACO) 2-month-long intensified (IEC) Campaign, the Red Ribbon Club of Baptist Theological College (BTC), Pfutsero, organized essay competition on “Breaking Barriers: HIV/AIDS Awareness in the Digital Age” on September 11 at the college premises.
Immanuel College , Dimapur conducted a national seminar on September 12 sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research-North Eastern Regional Centre (ICSDR-NERC) on the theme ‘Unravelling the exacerbating growth of Anxiety and Depression among Youths in India’s North East.’ The seminar was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Immanuel College at the college conference hall.
The Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports in collaboration with the NSS Wing, Yingli College, Longleng, organized the District Youth Festival 2025 on September 13. The event was held at Borgohain Hall, Yingli College, and featured competitions in declamation, folk song, and folk dance.
Sao Chang College welcomed its new batch of students at the 52nd Freshers’ Meet held at the Multi-Purpose Hall on September 12. Tsulun Hangkam and Changlemla, both from the Political Science Department, were crowned Mr. and Miss Fresher 2025.
In preparation for the golden jubilee celebration of Newman Higher Secondary School, Tobu, scheduled to be held on January 8, 2026, the school organized a ‘Sales Day’ at Bazaar Junction on September 13 in aid of the jubilee fund.
The Department of Mathematics, Fazl Ali College, organized a one-day inter-school quiz tournament on the September 12, drawing participation from eight schools: Eden Academy, GHS Chuchuyimpang, Jubilee Memorial School, Lady Bird School, Model Higher Secondary School, Queen Mary Higher Secondary School, Straightway Higher Secondary School, and Town Higher Secondary School.
