Little Star Hr Sec School, Dimapur held its 13th Fresher’s Day at the School Hall on August 5. The programme started with invocation by PV Francis, School Chaplain and Hostel superintendent, the Choir Club presented the welcome song while LSHSS Principal, Christina Neikhrienuo gave a brief address. During the function, Khaimandi Khemprai and Kedilo Seb were crowned Miss Fresher 2023 and Mr. Fresher 2023 respectively. The judges for the event were Khrienuo Angami, Freda Angami, Opangtongdang, Kos Zhasa and Hemrongdau Khemprai.

Three-day training programme on Faecal Sludge Management under the aegis of Primove, Pune for State and District officials of Public Health Engineering Department commenced at PHED Conference Hall, Kohima on August 16. An overview of the training was presented by Laxmikant Shinde, Portfolio Manager, Primove Pune. Er Ichirang Zeliang, Executive Engineer, Sanitation & WSSO, PHED delivered keynote address, Thenusou Sekhose, State HRD Consultant, Sanitation & WSSO, PHED chaired the inaugural programme while vote of thanks was proposed by Er Wonjanbeni Odyuo, Executive Engineer, PHED.

The Merhulietsa Youth Organization (MYO) Kohima conducted a felicitation programme on August 15 for eight successful candidates of NPSC and NSSB from the colony. Er. Neisievilie Lhousa, Joint General Manager HUDCO Regional Office Dimapur exhorted the gathering.

The Child Protection Committee (CPC), Tobu village under the aegis of DAN, Dimapur organised a skill development training for drop out students on phase wise at guest house, Tobu village from July 29 to August 14. The training concluded with a valedictory programme to felicitate the trainees and trainer. The committee lauded trainer S Chungma for his voluntary service in guiding the trainees under his strict supervision. The Tribe Motorcycle Club will be undertaking charity ride to Manipur in September 2023. The Club will be going till Kangpokpi for relief camp.

MLA Ar Jwenga Seb inaugurated CCTV installation at Tseminyu Police Station during 77th Independence Day celebration on August 15. In Independence Day speech, he said that a significant step has been taken by the state government in installation of CCTVs in all the 84 police stations across the state. Earlier, Ar Seb administered pledge for Drug-free Nagaland on the occasion of Independence Day 2023.

MLA Ikuto Zhimomi inaugurated the CCTV surveillance system at Police Station Aghunato subdivision. The MLA was accompanied by his associates and ADC Aghunato, Pakon Phom.

A medical camp was organised for the Trinity Theological College community in the College campus on August 14. It was organised in collaboration with the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme team.
