Drugs worth Rs 31,49,800 were destroyed at Wokha Town Council dumping site on October 14. The destroyed consignments included Spasmo Proxyvon, Nitrozepam, saltumol, alprazolam and brown sugar. The destroyed drugs were seized on different occasion in between 2020 to 2022 in relating to 15 cases registered under Wokha Police Station. Aoyimti Baptist Church organised a get-together event for the ‘differently abled people with different abilities’ on October 12. Altogether 99 persons from Deaf Biblical Ministry, Living Bread Ministry, Anitet Early Intervention School, Aoyimti Baptist Church, along with special educators, guides and parents attended the event. Amongla Chief Coach, Achila, Rencha and Achum from Special Olympics Nagaland were the facilitators. The event included indoor and outdoor activities. 
Care-Centre for Environment and Rural Poor (C-CERP) observed National Wildlife Week under the theme ‘Wildlife Conservation through Co-existence’ at St Xavier Higher Secondary School, Jalukie on October 8. The resource persons included Liangsi Niumai, Director of C-CERP, and Francis Salew Esho, Supervisor of C-CERP. The event concluded with a pledge of Allegiance to Mother Earth, led by Liangsi Niumai. Fr Jayson, Parish Priest and Principal of St Xavier Higher Secondary School also spoke during the event.
A three-day children’s camp was organised for the catechism students under the theme “Let the children come to me,” at Holy Redeemer Church, Tobu from October 11 to 13. The resource persons of the session spoke on the important teachings and practices of the Church. The three-day programme witnessed the culmination of various competitions, fun games and entertainment. All the winners were awarded prizes and gifts. 
The Combined Annual Training (CATC-72) commenced at Sainik School Punglwa in Nagaland on October 11. 177 cadets from St Joseph College, Jakhama, Tetso College Dimapur, Dimapur Government College, Peren Government College and Modern College, Piphema are participating. The camp was inaugurated by Officer Comanding Lt Col Amit Chaudhary, while addressing the cadets, he emphasized upon the importance of fostering teamwork, discipline and leadership among participants. During the 10 days, till 20 October, the cadets will undergo vigorous training as per the NCC curriculum.
The Chakroma Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (CGOK) held its 8th General Meeting on October 12 last at CPO Hall Chümoukedima. The meeting was chaired by Razougwelie Chatsu, President CGOK while Sedevikho Khro, advisor CGOK exhorted the gathering. Vote of thank was proposed by Kevisebelie Kuotsu, Joint Secretary CGOK. Meanwhile, new officer bearers of the CGOK have been announced for the tenure 2024 to 2027. President Kekhrielhouto Nakhro, Vice President- Sivi Mor, General Secretary- Khrielie Yhoshu, Finance Secretary- Peter Shuya, Treasurer- Akhriebou Makritsu, Joint Secretary- Kevisebelie Kuotsu, Noleto Visa and Vichühu Nagi, Representatives to AGOK- Vikosieto Krose and Medozhalie Makritsu. Advisors- Sedevikho Khro, Rusovil John and Dr Kelesekho Tsukru.
Valley View Point NH 29 Tsiepama Village re-dedication in commemoration with Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) 150 years jubilee. Virazouma Village undertook this task of reconstructing this view point. 
The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF), Shamator Road Expansion Committee, Yimkhiung Liberü Arihako Shamator Area under the initiative of District Administration Shamator has started working on road expansion at Shamator Town through the generous contribution of General Public and Civil Societies under Shamator District, during First Phase 1 in the month of April 2024 and Phase 2 during the Month of October 2024. The STPF in a press release stated that for the success of immense Road at Shamator Town, well-wishers from elsewhere is still supporting for the ongoing road expansion.
