The 53rd Annual Conference of Zeme Baptist Church Council Women Department with the theme ‘Stand firm’ was held at Zeme Baptist Church Kohima from December 10 to 11. Resource persons Nini Bendang, Associate Pastor Women City church, Rev Suitei Ndang President ZBCC and Rev Izieteilung Executive Secretary ZBCC spoke on the theme “Stand firm in Christian journey,” clean election and stand firm in building the community. Executive members, various committees, ZBCC staffs and two delegates from 69 churches under ZBCC attended the conference.
Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, on December 11, inaugurated the “Lakme Salon” at Tajen Ao Road, Dimapur. The Deputy Commissioner said that such kind of ventures would not only help the businessman but also provide employment opportunities to the local youths. The Lakme Salon is the first in Nagaland which would provide the latest runway trends in skin, hair and makeup, with trained professionals.
On December 10, the NDPP 9th Kohima Town AC Office Bearers along with the Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire visited the Good Samaritan senior citizen's home at Meriema, Kohima. The programme was organised by the NDPP 9th Kohima Town AC and led by the Women Organization. The AC members as a goodwill gesture extended humanitarian services and had fellowship with the senior citizens of the centre.
