As a prelude to 50 years of the Kohima Lotha Hoho, a cleanliness drive was held recently along the stretch from New Secretariat complex to Sanuoru bridge, Kohima. MLA Achumbemo Kikon, who was the patron of the programme launched the cleanliness drive.A programme for installation of Sanitary pads vending machine cum awareness camp on menstrual hygiene and distribution of sanitary pads was held at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Shamator and Government Higher Secondary School, Shamator on January 31 on account of 10 years celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme. Sanitary napkin vending machine was installed under the aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao by the District Administration, Shamator.
