Tening Town Administration conducted girls’ marathon under the banner of Bedi Bachao Bedi Padhao on the theme “Run the Race…. Raise the Girl” for the Tening area girls between the age group of 11-18 years on January 27. ADC Tening, Lemlila Sangtam exhorted the girls to give their best in life and to shine, for they are the future gems of the society. The Rangers Club, Kohima undertook a voluntary cleanliness drive at Kisama, the Naga Heritage Village under the theme, 'Clean for beauty Kisama' on January 26. “The motive of the club is to encourage all the visitors to Kisama to maintain and keep the Kisama Village clean,” the Rangers Club, Kohima stated in a press release.Under the aegis of Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB), the Village Adoption Committee for Tsiemekhuma Bawe under 11 Northern Angami II conducted training for the villagers on January 29. Training on eri silk rearing and castor oil making was conducted by the Sericulture department while the Art & Culture Department donated a book shelf along with some books to the Student Union of the village.
