Women Self Help Groups of Chukitong block, under NSRLM Wokha donated food items to quarantine centres in Wokha. The SGHs donated fresh local vegetables, rice and firewood.The food items were contributed by nine Village Level Organisations consisting of 86 Women SHGs under Chukitong.
Under ANBS (Atma Nirbhar Bharat Scheme) the Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Zunheboto is providing 5 Kgs rice & 1 kg Chana per month for two months ie. May & June 2020 free of cost to all the migrant workers who are stranded in Zunheboto district. As of July 2, 876 migrant workers have availed the scheme. The benefit is extended to all the workers who are currently engaged in road construction and other works at the outpost as well. The distribution is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
