Live webcast of PM KISAN SAMMELAN has been organized at KVK Nagaland University, Lumami on July 27. Farmers were also briefed about the PM KISAN YOJNA. All together 26 farmers participated in the programme from Zaphumi village, Akuluto Block under Zunheboto district. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr Kundan (Subject Matter Specialist), KVK, Nagaland University.


Peren Government College (PGC) organised its 36th fresher’s meet 2023 in the college auditorium on July 28. Peisuidi Ramlia and Lhinghoiching won the title of Mr and Miss Fresher’s 2023. Dr Phyobenthung, Principal, PGC in his address exhorted the students, Keyipeiraibe, Asst. Games & sports Secretary, PGCSU welcomed the fresher on behalf of the seniors, followed by introductory session and speech on behalf of fresher by Peisuidi Ramlia. The District Administration Mokokchung, DEF, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection, Food and Civil Supplies, and Ao Students Conference (AKM) carried out a joint surprise checking of fuel outlets at petrol pumps in and around Mokokchung Town on July 27. Peren District Voluntary Consumer’s Organization (PDVCO) in collaboration with Consumer’s Club St Xavier’s College Jalukie, Peren conducted an awareness program on July 27 at college auditorium.


JNV Chare, Tuensang organised a press conference under the chairmanship of Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, at the DC Conference Hall on July 28. Parveen Kumar, Principal In-charge of JNV Tuensang, shared the achievements of the school in embracing the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. As per the National State Legal Services Authority, Common Action Plan, a legal awareness program was conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Phek on July 28 in Phek Government College. Panel Lawyer Cum Advocate, Thomeweu, DLSA, Phek was the resource person. She highlighted on various legal provisions and facilities available within the district, special focus was given on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The talk concluded with an interactive session.
