The Nagaland Optometric Association (NOA) held their 6th General Meeting at Fun Zone Cafeteria, Kohima on July 18. The NOA has urged all Optometry graduate (4 years Bachelor course) to register with the association and to practice in Nagaland (whether private or Government) only after getting a registration number from the NOA office. As part of Action Plan for 100 Days of KVK, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur conducted a vermicomposting awareness programme and demonstration at Niuland village on June 19. Dr Bendangla Imsong, CTO Plant Breeding, delivered a session on the benefits of vermicomposting, emphasising its role in enhancing soil health and crop yields through effective organic waste recycling. She provided a live demonstration on setting up and maintaining a vermi-bed, feeding techniques, and congenial environmental conditions. Vihuli Zhimo, a local vermicompost grower, shared her practical experiences and challenges with vermicomposting, offering valuable insights for the farmers. Dr Moanaro, Programme Assistant, KVK Dimapur highlighted the KVK activities. The event was attended by 26 local farmers.The 10th convocation of Institute of Christian Leadership Training was held on the theme “A Call to be different” 1 Peter 2:12 at Mission Centre, LBA on July 19. A total of 9 members graduated from the 30 days course this year. The awarding of certificate and acts of blessing was done by Rev Kitanwi Chewang, Executive Secretary LBA and speech on behalf of graduating students was delivered by Azailiu. The day’s speaker was Ngulie Rentta, Director NARUDA while closing prayer was pronounce by Rev Kamwang Rentta Pastor, TBCT.
