The Phiisachodiimi Wrestling Association (PWA) conducted a felicitation programme on June 17 for Vekhonielii Curhah, a bronze medalist of UWW Belt Wrestling Asian Championship 2023 held at Jizzakh, Uzbekistan. Phusachodumi Baptist Church pastor Rev Vevotso Theluo pronounced thanksgiving prayer while Nierun Theluo, advisor PWA delivered congratulatory message. The programme witnessed short speeches from Cusato Ruho, president PYS, Shenieta Curhah, president PSU, Ruyolii Medeo, chairperson PWS, Vethikhoyi Khamo, VDB secretary Phusachodu and Vehupa Rose, VCC Phusachodu. The programme was chaired by PWA president Mulekhoto Khamo and concluded with benediction by Zhopovelii Liipo-o, youth director PBC.
Nagaland Power & Parliamentary Affairs Minister, KG Kenye called on the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal on June 19 in New Delhi. The minister briefed the Union Minister on the constitutional position of the Article 371(a) and its relevance to the various aspects of the situation in the state of Nagaland with special reference to customary, religious and social practices.
