Delhi Public School Dimapur marked World Environment Day with a special assembly on the theme ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’ with K Hukato Chishi, IFS, Conservator of Forests and Member Secretary of Nagaland Pollution Control Board as the chief guest. DPS Principal G Mala gave a brief speech while other highlights were creative presentations, music and dance performances. The students also took a pledge “to live out the values of World Environment Day every day.” The chief guest also distributed tree saplings to the UKG student.
In observance of World Environment Day, Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) along with Eco Green Club of Baptist College, Sechü Campus, Master Peace Nagaland and Silviculture Division, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department organised a plantation drive under the theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ at the Baptist College, Sechü Campus. The event brought together students, faculty, and community partners in a collaborative effort to promote environmental consciousness and combat the growing plastic crisis. While the saplings were contributed by the Silviculture Division, refreshment for the day was provided by Baptist College, Kohima.
