The 14th foundation cum cultural day of Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima was graced by Achumbemo Kikon, MLA, Government of Nagaland. Others present were Chairperson of MITE- Kaisa Hekha, Pelee Hekha, Managing Director of MITE, Mekhro, Chairman of AG Colony and his colleague, Dr Kate Dandesh Kumar, Principal of MITE, Dr HL Gangte, Vice- Principal of MITE, Dr Surender Yadav, Board Member of MITE & Asst Professor of Nagaland University, staff and student-teachers of MITE.
The Lhisemia Thinuo celebrated Sekrenyi 2025 at TM School Ground Kohima on March 1. Ayie Yhome, chairman Lhisemia Council shared Sekrenyi greetings. Lhisemia Youth Organization President Khriezovolie Miachieo delivered welcome address. The programme was chaired by Keneizelhou Liezietsu while Head GB Krutuolie Yhome pronounced traditional blessings. Vote of thanks was proposed by Kevirielie Dzüvichü. The celebration was also marked by tug-of war, bamboo pole climbing competition, bamboo stilt walking competition and other indigenous games.
