District Health Society Mon observed World Hearing Day at Little Flower School on March 3 led by RBSK team. Dr Tsemtseh, MO RBSK explained the students on do’s and don’t of good ear health. Dr Wanmei, Medical Officer Urban PHC and his staff along with RBSK team conducted an ear screening and overall health assessment.

District Health Society, Zunheboto, in collaboration with National Programme for Prevention and Control of Deafness observed World Hearing Day on March 3. An awareness programme on ear care was conducted at Government Middle School, Nito Mount. A free ear screening camp was conducted by RBSK Mobile Health Team Zunheboto in coordination with Dr Josia Sema, ENT Specialist, District Hospital Zunheboto. During the camp, children diagnosed with Acute Otitis Media and other hearing-related concerns were referred for further  treatment.
A jungle fire broke out near Pungro Road, 10 KM away from Kiphire Town on March 2. According to the fire department Kiphire, the incident was reported at around 1: 56 PM. Two fire tenders from Kiphire along with manpower were rushed to the scene and took approximately 4 hour to bring the fire under control. (DIPR Photo)
29th International and 60th National Conference of Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (IAAP) organised by Department of Psychology, Nagaland University (Kohima Campus) concluded on February 28. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof Sujata Dash, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (Nagaland University, Kohima Campus) as the special guest. Prof MVR Raju (President, IAAP), in his address, emphasised the need for development and application of interventions in research. The conference held during February 26 to 28 was attended by over 300 participants from 23 states, three union territories of India and two foreign countries. All scientific sessions were followed by Continuing Rehabilitation Education Assessments.
ABAM WM organised an awakening programme for Associate Pastor Women and Women Ordained Ministers within the ABAM organization from February 28 to March 2, at Impur. Rev Kilang Jamir from Dimapur, Temsula Lemtur, Former Secretary of ABAM WM and Rev Dr Prof Mar Pongener, General Secretary of NBCC, were the speakers. Altogether 135 Associate Pastor women and Women Ordained ministers from 120 churches and one fellowship attended the programme.
