Icaisuile, a fish farmer from Peren district who has embraced aquaculture as her livelihood, was felicitated during the World Fisheries India 2025 (WAI 2025) event held in Hyderabad from November 11 to 12. She was honoured at the Fish Farmers’ Conclave on November 11 by the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, as a Progressive Fish Farmer for her role in driving community growth through fish farming and for her outstanding contribution to the fisheries sector.
