The Department of Social Work, St Joseph University organised Cultural and Literary Day 2023 with the theme ‘Aesthetic Beauty in One’s Identity’ in the university auditorium on October 4. Various events and competitions were conducted to mark the programme. The Tribal Fusion team emerged overall winner of the event.

The book was published by Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur. Modern College, Piphema organised the Autumn Fiesta 2023 at its campus on October 7. The Autumn Fiesta was kicked off with a formal inaugural programme with welcome speech by Dr Vitsou Yano, Principal. A Kaisa, Chairperson, Modern Society of Education declared the event opened. The Cosplay Campus in collaboration with Nagaland Anime Junkies (NAJ) featured a Cosplay competition where Shiro from Baptist College was adjudged the winner and Ayim Wallim of Modern College won the 2nd prize. The fiesta concluded with the DJ Evening featuring DJ Rhon. Altogether 21 teams registered for food and merchandise stalls besides various entertaining games.National Oral Health Programme, Zunheboto organised a training on ‘Importance of Oral Health for Sunday School teachers’ at SBCZ on October 7. Dr Esther Chophy Ngullie, Dental Surgeon, District hospital Zunheboto stated that a lifetime of proper oral hygiene improves the quality of life. She also addedtooth loss can have further effects on our physical health, aesthetic appearance and self-esteem. She further encouraged the teachers to go for regular dental check ups. Total participants of 28 Sunday School teachers from all the colony around Zunheboto town attended the training.Maj Gen Vikas Lakhera, SM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) visited Meluri town in Phek district of Nagaland and attended the ongoing Yemshe festival in Meluri on October 3. He interacted with the local tribal leaders and various Civil Society Organisation heads present at the ongoing jubilant event. The workshop was moderated by Capt G Zhimomi, Vice President NPCC, and resource persons included S Supongmeren Jamir, President NPCC, Khreidi Theünuo, Working President NPCC, Moa Emchen, General Secretary NPCC and Temjenyanger Lkr, Chairperson, Communications Dept NPCC. Party workers and leaders from across the state attended and took part in the training. Under the theme ‘a day with company commander,’ Assam Rifles organised an interaction with Bright Light Choir Team at Kashiram Basti, Dimapur on October 7. During the event, Assam Rifles movie was screened, the Jazz Band performed during an interactive session and various outdoor activities were conducted. Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) 3rd Biennial Women Conference held at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur from October 7 concluded on Sunday. Duirng the conference, DTNBC Duncan championed the Hymnal Choral Competition with NBC Kohima and NBC Kiphire as 1st runners up and 2nd runner up respectively. DTNBC Duncan also won the cultural dance followed by NBC GBC Diphupar as 1st runner up and NBC Chümoukedima as 2nd runner up. In the Secretary Report, GBC Mon won the 1st position, while NBC Chümoukedima and GBC Tseminyu were 1st and 2nd runner up respectively. With the theme ‘Deeper Walk with God,’ the conference was attended by 344 delegates from 46 Gorkha/Nepali Churches of Nagaland.
