Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to The Republic of Korea invites Trance Effect for high tea on October 9. He congratulated and expressed his happiness for Trance Effect who represented India at the Gwangju Busking World Cup Festival. The meeting was also attended by Imsenaro Walling, IFS.

The MGM Higher Secondary School, Dimapur conducted a science exhibition on the theme ‘science and technology for a sustainable future’ in the school ground on October 8. A total of 33 teams participated presented innovative models during the exhibition. MGM HSS, Vice President, Rev Fr Giju George delivered the keynote address. MGM HSS Reji Abraham, Principal also spoke during the programme. The judges for the competition were Yanyi R Tungoe, Nokinlepzuk and Indrani Ash Science Teachers of SD Jain High Secondary School, Dimapur. 
Ao youth organizations representing the Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO), Chomoükedima Ao Lanur Telongjem (CALT), Medziphema Ao Lanur Telongjem (MALT), and the Foot Hill Ao Lanur Telongjem (FHALT) along with officials of the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) held a coordination meeting held at MTLT’s Treasurer residence at Aongza Ward, Mokokchung on October 8. Chuchuyimlang Kaketshir Telongjem (CKT) observed the 6th Noble Deeds Day in memory of late Natwar Thakkar, founder of Nagaland Gandhi Ashram, Chuchuyimlang on Wednesday. Every year, October 9 is celebrated and remembered for his valuable contribution towards Naga people and the community through social work and community mobilisation.
College, Kigwema, kicked started its 28th College Week on October 9 with Mankhao Konyak, MLA in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly as the guest of honour. The event was also marked by the college Futsal foundation laying ceremony. The MLA was accompanied by his wife, Minching Konyak, and a host of JCC Alumni.
In celebration on International Day of the Girl Child 2024, an extempore speech competition was organised by Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Niuland District on October 7 at Deputy Commissioner Office, Conference Hall, Niuland. The competition started with a short speech from resource person Sentimenla, District Welfare Officer, Niuland. Lina Achumi from Government Higher Secondary School, Niuland won the first prize. Louis Pame from Shepherd Montessori High School and Nalto Zhimo from Shepherd Montessori High School won 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. 

 

Seminar on ‘Management and Entrepreneurship’ was held at Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School, Kohima on October 3. The resource person was Dr Ditalak Mpanme, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus. The seminar was attended by the teachers and students of Classes 8 to 12.
