Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) scheme was launched by Echungbemo Erui, EAC Chukitong and Englan at Community Hall Chukitong, Wokha on October 26.  A brief introduction on SUMAN was delivered by Dr Abenthung Murry, Medical Officer, Chukitong PHC. M Yentsao Ezung, Associate Pastor, Chukitong Baptist Church pronounced the invocation before the launching of the SUMAN. A Financial Literacy Camp was organized at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung by the Ongpangkong Students’ Conference (OKM) in collaboration with NABARD and Financial Inclusion Department, SBI with Kreho Athili, Chief Manager, Financial Inclusion, RBO Mokokchung, as the resource person on October 25. This is the third Financial Literacy Camp that is being held under the initiative of the OKM.

The Department of School Education, Nagaland, Kohima organized a felicitation programme for Mimi Yhoshü, Head Teacher, GMS Officers’ Hill, Kohima, the recipient of National Teachers’ Award 2022 on October 25. Principal Director of School Education, Thavaseelan K, IAS and Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Nokchashashi spoke during the event. The National Teachers’ Awardee 2022, Mimi Yhoshü dedicated the award to the students and teachers of GMS Officers’ Hill Kohima and her family members. Yhoshü mentioned that she has committed Rs 5000 each to those students who secure distinction in both subjects in Class 8 Board Examination w.e.f. the current academic year. Dr Sukhato A Sema, Retd Principal Director, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland inaugurates the handicraft exhibition in Dimapur on October 26. The exhibition organized by Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation and sponsored by Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi will culminate on November 1. NHHDC Ltd. Managing Director Zakabo V Rotokha stated in a press release that altogether 50 participants from Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and various districts of Nagaland are exhibiting varieties of hand crafted products.
