The Inter School District level Red Ribbon Quiz competition organized by District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Mokokchung was held on September 15 at Conference hall Office of the Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung. Jechu Seb and Lanuren Jamir of Jubilee Memorial School, Mokokchung were adjudged the winners, while Ternemla and Waluienla of Town Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung secured the 2nd position, Moajungla and Imtinola of Model Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung secured the 3rd position and Sentimenla and Nungshisungla of Straightway Hr. Sec. School, Mokokchung secured the 4rd position.
The Innerwheel club of Dimapur adopted GMS school Chakhesang colony and converted it into a ‘happy school’ under IILM Shiksha 360. Providing school toilets for girls and boys seperately, water purifier, hand wash stations, chair tables for pre-school, copies, stationeries, dustbins and other facilities. Jevika Kiba District Education officer Choümukedima was the chief guest honour.The District Health Society, Peren launched the Ayushman Bhavah Campaign on September 13 at District Hospital, Peren with Keyirangding Hegui, Additional Deputy Commissioner Peren as the special guest. Col Arvind Nautiyal, the new Principal of Sainik School Punglwa was offered a guard of honour by cadets of class 12 as he took on the reign of the school on September 14. The officer was also briefed on the school model of the existing infrastructure and facilities available in the school. An inspection of the hostels and academic block and other important locations were carried out and later concerned staff were briefed on the need of changes and improvement for the benefit of the cadets.
