The NDPP, Kohima Region on August 30 donated Rs 7 lakhs towards CM relief fund which was handed over to NDPP President Chingwang Konyak at the NDPP Head Office, Chumukedima, a release issued by NDPP Media & Communication Committee informed.
Zeme Baptist Church, Kohima (ZBCK) organized a two-day Fathers’ Camp under the theme ‘Building a Family Legacy’ at Jubilee Memorial Hall, Lerie, Kohima on August 25 and 26. Altogether, 92 fathers of Zeme Baptist Church participated in the camp. The resource persons were Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, NBCC, Rev. Dr. Rachulie Vihienuo, Pastor, UBC, Kohima, and Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, Chairman, Northfield School.
ATMA Mokokchung, Tsurangkong block inaugurated Farm School on Agar Plantation at Medemyim village on August 8. Noksen was appointed as the Farm School teacher. The ATMA block also opened a Farm School on Integrated Farming (fish-pig culture) at Chungtiayimsen village on July 25. Resource person Moanukshi, Block Technology Manager, ATMA Tsurangkong block spoke on the role of farm teacher and highlighted the objectives and functions of a farm school. Sunep was appointed as the Farm School teacher.
More than ninety people from Dimapur went on a 10 day trip to Vaishno Devi temple, Jammu, organized by Kaushik Day of Voyages Travel. This tour is a first of its kind in the history of Dimapur where more than 90 people from all walks of life, belonging to different Hindu communities joined together to undertake the pilgrimage. The Managing Director Voyages Travel expressed that the pilgrimage is a part of many religion seeking answers to fulfill a ritual obligation, perform an act of devotion or implore a grace or a cure.
Dimapur district Medical department led by Deputy CMO, Dr. Antoly Suu in collaboration with DMA-SSA Dimapur held school outreach programme on August 27 at Government High School Sarbura. The participants were given awareness on personal health & hygiene and upcoming programs and activities for schools by the Medical department. Later, medical checkup and medicines were given to the students and residential hostellers.
The officers and staff of Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Nagaland organised a felicitation function on August 29 in honour of Dr. Hovithal N Sothu, Deputy Director (Training), who received the coveted Governor’s Gold Medal on the 72nd Independence Day on August 15 in Kohima. The officers and staff expressed delight for the award received in recognition of his exemplary dedicated work both as a faculty and a facilitator.
