The Keleilwa Colony Ward No.6 conducted mass social work at the approach road from NAP junction to Mission hills, organized and financially donated by Rongmei Baptist Association, Nagaland. The approach road is a link to Government Middle School, Nagaland Armed Police Camp, SBI-RSETI and Rongmei Baptist Association.
NSS Club of Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur organized a cleaning campaign at Dimapur Railway station, joining the nation-wide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan ‘Clean India Mission.’ Around 100 students took active participation for the campaign.
NSS of St Joseph University organized a cleanliness, plantation and awareness campaign on the occasion of the Swachata Hi Sewa movement at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur on September 29. 40 NSS volunteers of the university under the guidance of NSS coordinators Prof Daniel M Khan and Prof Limongi participated in the campaign, a release from the University PRO stated.
The NDPP Kohima Region organised a social work at IG Stadium, Kohima on September 26. More than 200 volunteers from all the ACs under NDPP Kohima Region participated in the social work. During the social work, weeds and grasses were cleared.
Nature’s Club of Kohima Science College Jotsoma organized “Drainage Cleaning Campaign” on September 29. The students collected wastes and garbage dumped on the roadside, culverts and drainage from Minister’s Hill Higher Secondary School to the college premises. The activity aimed at sensitizing the general about the deleterious effects to environment through inappropriate dumping of wastes and garbage especially by vehicular travelers and people along the road sides. The Nature’s Club further thanked its Principal Dr Lily Sema for initiating the campaign and providing various financial and other supports to the student volunteers during the social work.
Christian Mission Hr. Sec School Diphupar observed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on September 27. Led by the school Principal and staff along with 50 students cleaned the nearby roads, drainage systems and also went for campaign, planted trees etc.
As part of Swachhata Hi Sewa, 15 BRTF, BRO Kohima conducted a cleanliness drive at High School junction and adjoining areas on September 30 morning. Other cleanliness activities are also planned till October 2, a release from PRO Col C Konwer stated.
