Dimapur Meetei Council (DMC) assisted a relief with blankets, crockery and food items to the fire victims of Ura Village, Dimapur in presence of Katila, Convener of Fire affected area with a brief programme highlighting the motto of council by Sarat Thangjam, President of DMC. The programme was chaired with an invocation prayer by Oken Khuman, Vice President of DMC. Meratombi distributed the relief items to the fire victims of Ura Village. Chieswema Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a free medical camp on December 19 at Botsa Village under Chiephobozou Sub Division, Kohima District. R stated in a press note that a specially constituted medical team of two doctors and four medical staff under Chief Medical Officer Commandant Ch Saleo Mao conducted the medical camp. Apart from providing medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education including precaution from common viral diseases was also imparted. Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a motivational lecture on admission to Sainik School, Punglwa at Phek on December 29. The aim of the event was to motivate the candidates who are undergoing coaching classes and also to address any problems being faced. As an initiative, Phek Battalion has been conducting coaching classes since September 2018 for All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) scheduled on January 6, 2019.
