Ahthibung Region Club (ARC) in collaboration with Jalukie battalion of Assam Rifles, CHILD HELPLINE- Peren Team, St Xavier college-Jalukie and Samzuiram youths union organised a 5 km run commemorating the Kargil Vigil. The run was flagged off by Fr Dr Francis, Principal, St Xavier College from Samzuiram ground and flag in by officer representative from Assam Rifles- Jalukie Battalion at St Xavier College ground in presence of students of various schools. 108 youths and children participated in the run. Best three boys and girls were rewarded with goody bags. Officer Representative from AR addressed the participants and gave a brief description about Kargil war and role of soldiers. Child Helpline Peren Team also joined the cause by spreading awareness about child rights, do’s and don’ts and handling of crisis when any abuse take place. (Photo Courtesy: Ahthibung Region Club)
