The department of Agriculture launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi at SDAO office Shamator on February 25. Keynote address was delivered by T. Longri AO while guidelines on PM Kisan scheme were highlighted by Viwoto AO. Speeches on behalf of the farmers were also delivered by Kiutsumong and Rithrong GB. The launching programme was attended by the staff of the Agriculture department and farmers of Shamator. The farmers were deliberated and educated on the scheme at the programme. The trainees were given hands-on training on handling, maintenance and shooting using Dan-Inject Rifle Model JM.DB. The training was imparted to gear up/prepare the executive staffs to meet the challenges posed by human-animal conflict, for animal rescue operations and rehabilitations. The training was imparted by Tranquilizing Unit under Wildlife Division, Dimapur. Altogether 15 personnel from Arm Protection Force, Intanki National Park ‘A’ & ‘B’ participated in the programme.
