Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a tree plantation drive under the theme ‘Clean & Green Nagaland’ at Mimi village on November 4. “The aim of the event was to create awareness amongst the residents, specially the youth about the importance of plants towards maintaining ecological harmony. The need to plant and preserve forest resources to ensure pollution free and clean environment was also discussed.” A total of 16 personnel along with the residents including GBs and children participated in the event.
