Nagaland: No more self-income declarations for ST scholarships

Kohima, July 4 (MExN): The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, has announced a key change in the application process for the CSS-Post Matric Scholarship for ST students, as per revised guidelines dated April 1, 2022.

The department informed the general public and the student community, through a DIPR report, that from the 2025-26 academic session, self-declarations or affidavits of self-assessed income will no longer be accepted for the scholarship.

“Henceforth, with effect from the Academic Session 2025-26, the Department shall strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Funding Agency available at the Directorate’s website,” it stated.

Further, it mandated that every income declaration should carry the caption ‘Family Income Certificate’.

The department emphasised all concerned to take note of this change. The official notification is available on the Directorate’s website: www.highereducation.nagaland.gov.in, it informed.

Students and stakeholders have been advised to review the updated requirements to avoid disqualification. Failure to comply will result in rejection of applications, it added.
