The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has inducted former Governor of Maharashtra, Dr. SC Jamir as a member of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
According to documents available with The Morung Express, NPCC President, K. Therie has on September 21 reconstituted PAC of NPCC “in view of resignation and defection” and inducted 16 members including him. Five others have been removed from the NPCC.
The members of the reconstituted PAC include K Therie as convener, ET Ezung, Lampha Konyak, Shami Angh, Nungsangyapang, Khriedi Theunuo, V Lasuh, Jonahan Ao, Capt GK Zhimomi, Takamasa Ao, Bobby Panikar, Khekiye Y Sema, Athang Chongloi, W Akum Yimchunger and Maong Ozukum.
Removed members include KL Chishi, I Imkong, H Haying, Iherie Ndang and P Ayang Konyak.
It may be mentioned that the NPCC has on February 16 as published in the local dailies stated that, “Jamir no longer has any connection with the Congress party ever since he allowed both his son and his younger brother to ditch Congress and join NPF in 2015.”
