Nagaland to observe Fire Service Week from April 14

The Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services along with other fire services across the country will be observing Fire Service Week from April 14 to 20 across the state.  

April 14 is observed as Martyrs Day every year to pay homage to those brave fire personnel who lost their precious live while performing their duty. This day is set aside for mass awareness campaign on fire hazard & safety measures, stated Nagaland’s DIG (F&ES) Neilasa Sopfu. In commemoration of the fire service week, awareness on fire prevention and safety campaign will be held across the state. The programme will begin at 8:00 AM on April 14.  

Kohima: Stoppage points- CRPF Camp junction (Lerie), Mohonkhola junction, PHQ junction, TCP Gate junction, New NST junction, Keziekie Marker, Tinpati junction, High School junction.  

Dimapur: City Tower, Notun Bosti, DC office junction, PWD junction, MP Road junction, Super Market.  

Chumukedima: Sieurhuza, 2nd Gate, Chumu Bazaar, Sovima junction.  

Mon: New site junction, Night Station, Bazaar Line.  

Phek: Police Point, Bethany Colony, Hospital Junction, DC office junction, High School junction, Police Check Gate (Bible Hill).  

Tuensang: Tower Clock, High School junction.  

Zunheboto: Police point, DC office junction, BOC.  

Mokokchung: Sungkom, Police Point, SEWAK gate  

Wokha: Police Point, Zero Point, Longsa gate  

Kiphire: DC office junction, Bazaar junction, police point   Peren: Police point, New Jalukie Bazaar line.  

Longleng: Adjoining Leinak & Shamkang Ward- Police Point, NST junction, Shayung ward, Main Zero Point (Longleng town).
