
Kohima, June 9 (DIPR): The International World Day against Child Labour will be held at APO Hall Midland, Kohima on June 12 at 11:00 am under the theme ‘In conflict and disasters, protect children from child labour’.
Organised by the Department of Labour in collaboration with Childline Kohima every year on June 12, the World Day against Child Labour is observed to bring together government employees and workers organizations civil society etc. to call to attention the plight of hundreds of millions of girls and boys, child labourers worldwide. The World Day against Child Labour this year 2017 will focus on the impact conflict and disasters on child labour.
Joining with the rest of the world, the Labour department together with the Child line Kohima will observing the day through various activities with active participation of the children. The highlights of the day include sticker campaign, distribution of IEC materials. There will also be a walk from different directions in the town to culminate at APO Conference Hall, Kohima, opposite Oking Hospital Kohima.
