The main event of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sammelan’ for the state of Nagaland took place here today to mark the completion of three years of NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was organized by Airport Authority of India (AAI) at NBCC Convention Centre with Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh as the chief guest.
Mein said that North East is rapidly developing in all sectors under Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government in the centre. The Prime Minister, he said, has given special attention to the development of North eastern states which is quite visible from his statement that “India will only develop when North eastern States are developed”.
He maintained that the problem of NE states are almost similar that is the connectivity and it can be solved only with the support of NDA Government in the centre. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Central government is emphasizing on connectivity of NE region in all five fronts of road ways, railways, air ways, river ways and internet ways, he added.
Highlighting various “people friendly schemes, initiatives and bold & landmark decisions” taken by the Prime Minister such as demonetization, passing of GST Bill in both the houses of Parliament and doing away with the red beacons to stop the VIP culture, Mein said that the Modi led government is also committed for welfare and uplift of the poor, downtrodden, women, disabled, backward and tribal communities of the country.
He called upon the people of Nagaland and party office bearers to spread the achievements and initiatives of the NDA Government so that it reaches to every nook and corner of the state. Stating that the NDA government is very much concerned and committed for the development of the NE states, he also appealed to all to strengthen the hands of Modi and expressed hope that the BJP will form the next government in Nagaland too.
Nagaland state BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu said the BJP led NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 3 years on May 26, 2017. To celebrate the successful completion of 3 years and to mark the beginning of the fourth year, the government decided to organize Modi Fest or “Festival of Making of Developed India” for 21 days from May 26 to June 15.
The Modi Fest is planned to disseminate the schemes initiated by the government to every citizen so as to enable the people to avail the facilities and benefits. He said Modi fest comprises of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sammelan’ (Together With All, Development for All). It comprises various aspects of reaching out to the public with information of government schemes and the implementation, interaction with public and offering a platform for the people to know and avail the schemes.
In Nagaland, Lhoungu said, the programme is being held in 10 district headquarters, except Dimapur from June 10 to 15. In Dimapur, Modi Fest is being held from June 12 to 15 in which Modi promotional van traversed different areas, showcasing the government programmes through LED TV and other electronic media.
He also highlighted the implementation of various schemes in Nagaland during the last three years.
M. Zhimo, Airport Director, Dimapur Airport said AAI had been entrusted to organize Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sammelan in Kohima to propagate that development is not just for individual but together everyone should grow and that the message needs to be spread across the country.
