World Homoeopathy Day 2024 was observed at Integrated Ayush Hospital Razha Chedema, Kohima on April 10.

Kohima, April 10 (MExN): Nagaland observed the World Homoeopathy Day 2024 on the theme ‘Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency: A Homoeopathy Symposium’ #UniteForHomoeopathy at Integrated Ayush Hospital Razha Chedema, Kohima on April 10. The day was observed to commemorate the 269th birth anniversary of Dr Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, founder and father of Homoeopathy.
Over 90 people participated in the programme which was attended by the staffers of IAH Razha Chedema, AYUSH Medical Officers, and students from Government High School Sakhabama, village council members and the general public of the neighbouring villages.
According to media cell of IAH, Razha, Chedema Kohima, Dr Khonuo Mary Belho highlighted various activities carried out by the department of AYUSH and the facilities and treatments available at the Integrated Ayush Hospital Razha Chedema.
Dr Lorenbeni Z Jungio, MD, MO Homoeopathy IAH spoke on the importance and significance of Homoeopathy and how it has long been practiced as a safe effective alternative health system. In her speech, she stated about the importance of Homoeopathy in the modern health care system, focusing on the theme and urged the general public and participants present to adopt healthy lifestyle, to promote homeopathy through awareness and avail the Homoeopathic treatment in the hospital.
Dr Kuokholie Savino, Resident Medical Officer, IAH spoke on the topic, “Identification of a medicinal plant and its medicinal properties” and imparted the participants on the importance of locally available indigenous herbs/plants in our state and its health benefits.
The programme was chaired by Lezonuo Metha, Assistant Matron IAH. Pukrosul Kiso, Pastor Sakhabama Baptist Church said the invocation and Dr Elvis Kithan MO Naturopathy IAH gave the vote of thanks.
