Gurugram, November 4 (MExN): Nagaland Transport Commissioner & Secretary Robert Longchari led a delegation to the Air India Express office, Haryana on November 4, holding discussions with the airline's top management on enhancing air connectivity and collaboration.
The Nagaland officials held a “productive meeting” with Air India Express Managing Director Alok Singh and Vice President Shashi Chetia, a DIPR report said.
During the meeting, the state officials expressed gratitude to the airline for continuing flight operations to Dimapur, underscoring its importance for the state's growth.
They also appreciated the airline's acceptance to partner with the state for the upcoming Hornbill Festival, a key cultural event promoting tourism and Naga heritage.
A key proposal from the state government officials was a request for Air India Express to consider “hiring more Naga youths in various job openings, further strengthening the partnership between the state and the airline.”
Discussions also covered potential opportunities for collaboration in areas such as tourism promotion and creating jobs.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to work together for mutual benefit.
