KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) on Wednesday informed that the dates of Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024 have been rescheduled to February 12-17.
In a notification, the NOA said cricket (Men’s T20) will be included in the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024. The decision was taken in consultation with the Nagaland Cricket Association and in view of the International Olympic Committee’s decision to make cricket an Olympic sport.
It stated that the registration of players will now begin from January 10-17 and once players are registered; there will be no change of names. All sports associations of the participating disciplines have been requested to submit their competition manuals along with the list of organizing committee members and contacts to the NOA office on or before December 12.
The games organization committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food and technical competition arrangements in the host city. Detailed information about arrival and departure will be communicated separately, the NOA stated.
All districts have been requested to appoint a Chef de Mission, 2 Deputy de Mission. The names, contact numbers and e-mail address of these officials may be sent to the NOA on nagaolvm@gmail.com latest by December 12, the notification informed.
