Powerfaith from Nagaland led songs and worship during the 22nd Baptist World Alliance Congress on July 7 and on July 9.
Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The 22nd Baptist World Alliance Congress ‘a virtual gathering of the global Baptist family’ was held from July 7-10, 2021.
Centered on the theme ‘Together,’ the four-day event focused on the following topics - Together in Diversity: Worship, Fellowship & Unity; Together in Witness: Evangelism & Mission; and Together in Justice: Religious Freedom, Human Right & Human Need; Together in Hope: Strengthening Discipleship & Leadership.
During the Congress, Powerfaith team from Nagaland led songs and worship in the opening ceremony service on July 7 and also on July 9. Powerfaith, based in Kohima, is one of the pioneering Christian bands from Nagaland.
Asha Sanchu, Executive Director of Miqlat Ministry, under the Women’s Department of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council was one of the speakers at the Global Conference of Baptist Women plenary and Kakheli Inato Jimomi, Secretary, Women Ministry, Western Sümi Baptist Akukhuhou Kukhakulu (WSBAK) also conducted one of the workshops.
Some of the highlights were worship, fellowship, prayer, and spiritual challenge led by global Baptist leaders; virtual roundtables focused on worship, mission, aid, religious freedom, and transformational leadership; Two pre-conferences including the ‘Life’ Global Conference of Baptist Women and ‘Together with the Persecuted’ Religious Freedom Summit.
