
Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): The Community Health Initiative (CHI) from Nagaland participated in the virtual '’World's Biggest Session on Menstrual Hygiene management’ organized by Sakriya Charitable trust, Bengaluru, on December 6. A press release from Dr Rhondemo A Kikon of CHI stated that all 29 states in India participated as “one country, one mission, one day, and one-time.” The event's mission was to spread menstrual hygiene management, awareness, and taboos related to menstruation across the country, it added. The event in Nagaland was organized by Loreni Sophia, Director of CHI who facilitated the online discussions and later had an interaction session with the participants on best practices related to menstrual hygiene management. She also showed them different menstrual products and suggested using recyclable sanitary napkins being more environmentally friendly and cost-effective, the release stated.
