Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland team is participating in the four day National Tribal Carnival 2016, at New Delhi on the invitation by the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram.
The carnival spanning from October 25 to 28, organized by the Union Tribal Affairs Ministry was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Modiji and is being participated by tribal from all over the nation. A 60 member BJP Nagaland team led by Imsu Yaden, State Vice President, comprising of 40 cultural dancers and 20 local products entrepreneurs including 10 from the State BJP Mahila is also representing the state.
Jaangsillung Gonmei, General Secretary (Media), BJP Nagaland in a press release stated that Imsu Yaden has communicated that the cultural troupes presented their item on October 26 at Handhswani Theatre and was well received.
Simultaneously, the local entrepreneurs have been showcasing the locally produced items such as clothing, ornaments, fruit wine, pickles, dried food items, etc. The National Tribal Carnival has been acclaimed as the appropriate platform to bring together the tribes of the nation and showcase their kaleidoscopic uniqueness to create awareness, understanding and harmony and take the nation forward. About 2300 member delegates from various tribes across the country are showcasing their cultures and rich traditions from a common platform at Pragati Maidan.
