Frontline workers including health, Police and ULBs personnel to get the ex-gratia grant

 

Kohima, April 20 (MExN):  The Nagaland Government, on April 20, has announced an ex-gratia grant for 'fatalities of frontline workers’ due to COVID-19 while performing their duties.

 

A notification issued by the Nagaland Chief Secretary stated that the frontline workers include health workers as well as personnel of the Nagaland Police and Urban Local Bodies in the state.  

 

All those frontline workers who “suffer fatality due to COVID-19 while performing frontline duties,” will be paid an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh by the State Government, the notification added.

 

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio also took to Twitter later in the evening to share the news.
