Nagaland Police (NP) launched Mobile Forensic investigation vans at PHQ, Kohima on May 1. These vans have been launched with a view to ensuring quick and efficient collection of forensic data by police at crime scene.
The three Mobile Forensic investigation Vans, flagged off by Nagaland’s Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma, is meant for Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Dimapur.
The mobile forensic investigation van is equipped with evidence packing and collection kit, DNA collection & sexual assault kit, blood detection kit, semen detection kit, foot and tire print casting kit, forensic light source, finger print taking kit, latent finger print developer kit.
Earlier, Jatila Jamir, IPS, DIG (Planning & Development) led the launching ceremony.
