
Around 11 candidates per post till October 15
Dimapur, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Nagaland Pol ice recruitment drive for 1176 Constable (General Duty) posts has witnessed a remarkable response, with 12,956 candidates registering within just 10 days of the online application process, which began on October 6.
Of these, 11,178 aspirants have completed the process by paying the Rs 300 examination fee.
The police department has highlighted that a significant number of registered candidates are yet to pay the fee and has urged them to do so before the deadline on November 7, to confirm their eligibility.
With roughly 23 days still remaining for registration, authorities anticipate the number of applicants to rise further.
The applications are accepted online only through the official recruitment portal (https://nagalandpolicerecruitment.in) and no physical forms are being issued.
The closing date for submission of online application on the portal is 3PM of November 7.
The recruitment, advertised by the Office of the Director General of Police on September 30, will be conducted through open rallies across all district headquarters by the Departmental Recruitment Board and District Screening Committees.
Candidates declared medically fit and who clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will then appear for a written examination, with a final merit list prepared based on PET and written test results. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews at a ratio of 1:3.
Eligible candidates must be between 18 and 38 years of age, with educational requirements ranging from Class 6 for Backward Tribes to Class 8 for other Indigenous Naga Tribes.
With competition already reaching around 11 candidates per post, the recruitment continues to attract strong interest among the State’s youth, reflecting growing aspirations to join the Nagaland Police.
It must however average is for the total applicants only. There is district-wise allocation of post based on tribal ratio and population, while the 144 postsin Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts are open competition for all Naga Indigenous Tribes of Nagaland .
