DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 19 (MExN): Day 5 of the Nagaland Police Duty cum Sports & Athletic Meet 2017 at the NAPTC, Chumukedima will witness the finals of the boxing event. A crowd puller at every edition, the finals of the various weight categories will take place on November 20 from 4:00 pm onwards at the NAPTC Stadium. Ten final bouts in the light fly weight, fly weight, bantam weight, light weight, light welter weight, welter weight, middle weight, light heavy weight, heavy weight and super heavy weight categories are lined up for the evening. A majority of the fighters are from the NAP (IR) units with 5 fighters from the 13th NAP (IR) in the finals followed by the 14th and 11th, 12th and 13th NAP (IR) with 3 fighters each. The day will also witness athletics finals, which will start at 7:00 am. Volleyball and football quarter-finals will also be held. Organising secretary, K. Martin Pienyü, IPS informed that entry is free and “everyone is invited to witness the competition which is being held at Chumukedima Police Complex.”
