Polling parties deployed for Pughoboto

Pughoboto, February 26 (DIPR): All the Presiding Officers and Polling Personnel with election machineries have been deployed to all the 33 polling stations in 24 villages under the 13 A/CPughoboto on 26th February 2018. In this constituency, altogether seven women polling official groups have been detailed in seven polling stations. For the live webcasting, seven polling stations have been earmarked, namely 1-Kitami, 5-Awohumi, 11-Laza Iquqa, 17-Chishilimi, 21-Ghathashi, 22-Laza Iyinu, and 24-Asukiqa. Five Sector Commanders and eight Micro Observers have also been sent to different locations to oversee the election process on the poll day. Genera Observer, Mahesh I Patel also distributed the EVMs, VVPAT and other essential materials.  

Polling Materials & EVMs disbursed

Kohima: Polling officials thronged at the office of DC& DEO, Kohima on February 26 to collect their polling materials/EVMs for the ensuing 13thLegislative Assembly Election, 2018 scheduled to be held on 27th February, 2018. There are a total of 183 polling parties including nine all women polling parties assigned to 183 polling stations besides 37 polling parties including five women polling parties as reserve team under Kohima district.  

37 Tyui and 38 Wokha A/C RO notifies

Wokha: With regard to election to the 13thGeneral Election to the Nagaland State Legislative Assembly and in accordance with the guideline issued by the Election Commission of India, Returning Officer for 37 Tyui and 38 Wokha Assembly Constituency has informed that scrutiny of Form 17A and other relevant documents will be taken up on 28th February, 2018 as per the following schedule: Customary Court, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, 37 Tyui A/C -11:00 am, 38 Wokha A/C -11:30 am All candidates of 37 Tyui and 38 Wokha A/C has been informed to take note of the date, venue and time of the scrutiny. The Returning Officer has further informed thatcandidate himself or his election agent may be present at the time of scrutiny. In case the candidate is represented by his election agent, the concerned election agent should come with a copy of his appointment in Form 8.  

Security personnel deployed to Bhandari

Bhandari: Security personnel have been deployed to all 76 Polling Stations under 40A/C Bhandari, along with Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) on 26th February, 2018, for the voting day of the upcoming assembly elections in Nagaland. ADC&RO, 40A/C, Bhandari, Tiameren Chang assisted by SDPO Bhandari, LanuAiersupervised the deployment.  

108 polling stations under Longleng dist

Longleng: All Polling parties along with adequate security force for 108 Polling Stations under 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng were sent off successfully from Longleng district Headquarter on February 26 to conduct General Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled on February 27. Of the total 108 polling stations in the district 47 polling stations falls und 49 A/C Tamlu while 61 falls under 50 A/C Longleng. The Polling Personnel includes 18 (Eighteen) Women Polling Parties, 10 (Ten) under 49 A/C Tamlu and 8 (Eight) under 50 A/C Longleng. Till filing of this report no unpleasant incidents were reported from any of the polling parties proceeding to their respective polling station as confirm from the control room, DC & DEO Office Longleng.  

Security measures in place ahead of poll

Mokokchung: All preparations have been set to conduct free and fair polling on February 27, 2018 to their representatives to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Mokokchung district. Polling will be conducted in 226 polling stations for which adequate security measures have been made to enable the electors to exercise their franchise without fear. Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, Raguramarajan A (IPS) said that a total of 31 companies of Central Armed Police Forces and 10 companies of Nagaland police including IRB have been requisitioned for poll duty in the district out of which 28 companies will be deployed on poll duty. He said 12 companies will be on duty as striking forces to deal with any eventuality especially in those sensitive areas in the district. SP said a company of CAPF has been earmarked for strong room duty.
