Kohima, February 19 (MExN): Nagaland, along with other states in India will held second round of Intensive Pulse Polio on Sunday, February 21. The Department of Health & Family Welfare is all geared up to administer Polio drops to over 2,30,804 eligible children from 0-5 years throughout the state in 2,308 Polio Booths to be manned by 9,232 vaccinators and 462 supervisors along with vaccines and other logistics. Special focus will be given to migrant population with an aim to prevent importation of Polio cases.
Dr. Sukhato A Sema, Principal Director Directorate of Health & Family Welfare in a press release stated that the total number of children covered during the 1st Round IPPI which was held on January 17, 2016 was 2,21,456.
