Nagaland: PTCSU launches sanitation drive

Kohima, September 17 (MExN): The Phek Town Chakhesang Student's Union (PTCSU) kicked off its first phase of sanitation drive on September 15 last at Phek town.  

As per the circulation and notification served to all institutions, the Union gear up to start sanitation drive on every Saturday implied to every schools basing on roster system.  

Subsequently, the Union along with Phek Government College and Government Middle School Kerehuba Phek conducted sanitation drive by way of collecting littering plastics and other waste materials concentrating the main road starting from Holy Care School to Local Ground Phek. Earlier, PTCSU president Vechihu Khamo highlighted the significant of sanitation drive and also encouraged the students to adopt the habit of using waste bin.  

He also urged the students to exhibit good example to others towards clean environment and cleanliness.  

PTCSU speaker Surhoveyi Khesoh sought the active participation of students in this cleanliness drive.  

The sanitation drive started with prayer by PTCSU social and cultural secretary Chonesa Vero.  

The 2nd sanitation drive will take place on September 22 by Royal Foundation School Phek.
