Kohima, December 9 (MExN): The official residence of the Governor of Nagaland will now be known as “Lok Bhavan”, following a renaming notification issued on December 3 last. The change was notified by Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor, Thavaseelan K, IAS. The notification stated that the renaming was done in pursuance of a communication from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and with the approval of the Governor of Nagaland. The institution previously called “Raj Bhavan, Nagaland” shall henceforth be referred to as “Lok Bhavan, Nagaland”. The order comes into effect immediately, it added.
