Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Electronics & IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar today said the double engine government of the BJP at the Centre and State will continue to be the catalyst of Nagaland’s growth and prosperity.

“The BJP-NDPP alliance will work for PM Narendra Modiji's vision of Peace, Development and Economic growth for Nagaland and be the catalyst for the youth of the state,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar said while speaking to party karyakartas and leaders at Mokokchung.

He is currently in Nagaland to support BJP candidates for February 27 Nagaland polls, according to a release received from the office of MoS today.

He expressed confidence that the BJP will get a thumping win in the upcoming assembly elections.

The Minister is on a two-day visit to Nagaland to be present at the filing of nomination papers by two BJP candidates for the Nagaland Vidhan Sabha elections.

Also travelling to Nagaland in the run-up to the elections are Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, BJP national spokesperson Nalin S. Kohli and BJP leader Priyang Pandey.

On reaching Mokokchung from Dimapur, Rajeev Chandrasekhar was accorded a warm welcome by Imkong L Imchen along with Pintu M Ghosh, State Spokesperson, members of Mahila Morcha and Karyakartas.

Later, he accompanied Imchen for the filing of his nomination papers from Koridang constituency.

“I am here to support him and I am sure that he will win comfortably,” the Minister said.

In his interaction with the leaders and party karyakartas, Rajeev Chandrasekhar spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi vision of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas and stated that the double engine government of BJP will continue to be the catalyst of Nagaland’s growth and prosperity.

“Nagaland like much of the Northeast was ignored for long by the previous Central governments led by the Congress. This was simply because development of this region and its people was never on their agenda. In the past nine years our PM has worked relentlessly to bring opportunity prosperity and development to every Indian. The same has happened in Nagaland and whole of Northeast,” the minister said.

On February 7, the minister will be present at the nomination filing of Bashangmongba Chang at Tuensang.
