Nagaland ready for switch to hi-tech security registration

Kohima | June 20 : As the number of vehicles on the road increases steadily, so do vehicle theft and cases of irregular registration and tax evasion. Shmnit Utsch registration systems guarantee secure identification and verification as the company successfully implemented the project on 16th June at Kohima, under the supervision of Transport department keeping the record, Nagaland as the fourth state in launching this project in the country.
Shmnit Utsch, a renowned company with an outstanding credit for quality security license plate blanks worldwide, provides high value to customers when it comes to machinery with the state of art technology, whether it is fully automatic digitally-driven equipment for centralized production or manually-operated machines for decentralized production of security license plate.
The High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) has seven features that includes hot stamped Chromium based Hologram preventing counterfeiting, Ingressed IND Legend-for national identity and standardization, Laser etched 9 digital code for sequential identification of individual license plates across the country where it acts as a watermark that cannot be erased, Snap lock-fitted on the rear license plate of vehicles -  self destructive, thereby tamper proof. It provides immediate and distinguishable identification, superior grade reflective sheeting (white for non-commercial amd yellow for commercial vehicles)-visible from a minimum of 200 meters enhancing visibility to prevent accidents during night/low visibility, embossed alpha numerals and borders, enhancing readability thereby easy identification. It also includes  security in-script on the alpha numerals and border preventing painting/ screen printing, to protect against counterfeiting.
Speaking to ‘The Morung Express’, Satish Chandra, Manager System said customers have to pass through the Transport department for verification of vehicles and authorization. The  rate of plates is based on the type of vehicle.
Satish maintained that this license plate is needed to be treated as security documents for the secure identification of a vehicle as this new approach presents the challenge to add documentary security features to a licensed plate made of aluminum and reflective sheeting. To combine beauty with functionality, the country’s national emblem is added to the number plate, so that “feelings of national pride increase public acceptance and the emblem makes it even more difficult to copy the license plate”.
