Kohima, July 14 (MExN): United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) India responding to the COVID-19 crisis and as a health development partner of Nagaland, has donated urgently required supplies essential for COVID-19 management on July 13.
A total of 1,00,000 Triple Layer Face Masks, 60,000 Hand Gloves and 50 nos. Infrared Thermal Guns were handed over to Dr Vizolie Z Suokhrie, Principal Director, DoHFW by Kingson Kamkara, Senior Project Officer and Imli Longkumer, Project Officer, UNDP Nagaland in presence of senior officials of the Department.
A press release from IEC Bureau, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland mentioned that UNDP has manpower deployed at the State, Regional and District levels across Nagaland and has been supporting the Department of Health &Family Welfare Nagaland since 2016 with the “electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network” and assisting Universal Immunization Programme division by providing real-time information on vaccine stocks, distribution, order management and storage temperatures across all cold chain points in Nagaland.
UNDP team is also assisting the department in tracking COVID 19 logistics through the eVIN portal and all available staffs are engaged in the field assisting health workers during this pandemic.
